NGA posts analysis workflow services (AWS) RFI

national-geospatial-intel-112On September 28, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a request for information. White papers are due no later than 3:00pm on October 10.

The National Geospatial-lntelligence (GEOINT) Agency (NGA), in support of the Analysis Workflow Services (AWS), is seeking information on how an interested contractor could maintain the AWS baseline capabilities and serve as the release train for maintenance updates and development pieces. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on current Industry practices that would meet NGA’s requirements.

AWS is a key suite of capabilities that support the management of work associated with the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG)/ Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG) imagery intelligence analysis mission and integration with Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) and Structured Observation Management (SOM) evolving tradecraft areas. It delivers core analytic workflow management capabilities in multiple security domains. AWS capabilities include the identification of available resources (e.g. work units, expertise) and available materials (e.g. existing imagery and intelligence analysis performed to-date), and status of production tasks back to collection and order management. Support to end-to-end throughput management of orders and workflow tasks is also provided, as is support for mobile, disconnected, and autonomous user groups. This effort is expected to contain maintenance associated with the AWS suite of capabilities as well as development of capabilities that build upon, evolve, or expand the AWS capabilities to accommodate evolving GEOINT tradecrafts.
