Kratos lands $14 million national security contract for transportable facilities

Kratos ModularKratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a national security solutions provider, announced on July 1 that its Modular Systems Division (KMSD) recently received an approximately $14 million new contract award for secure, hardened and protected transportable facilities in support of a certain U.S. national security program, which it didn’t identify.

KMSD, which will be performing the work under this program, is a supplier of the design, engineering, manufacture and integration of specialty modular systems and products that support mission-critical national security programs and those of U.S. allies. KMSD products support leading technology and disruptive programs, including unmanned systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms, radar and missile systems, the electromagnetic rail gun and chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) sensing programs.

Under the new program award, Kratos will be providing specialized secure, protected and hardened transportable facilities, products and systems in support of a certain U.S. Government program. Work performed under this contract award will be performed at secure Kratos manufacturing facilities. Due to customer related and other considerations, no additional information will be provided related to this program.

Tom Mills, president of KMSD, said, “We are proud to have received this recent order to provide these critically important secure and hardened facilities in support of this U.S. national security initiative.”
