Former Harris Corporation Government Services business names John Pitsenberger CFO

Stu Shea, CEO of Herndon, VA-based MHVC Acquisition Corporation, formerly Harris Corporation’s Government Services business, announced on July 25 that the company has named industry veteran John Pitsenberger as chief financial officer (CFO). As the company previously announced, it will soon launch its new brand.

“John brings the right expertise to advance our aggressive growth plans for the company,” said Shea. “He knows how to develop and lead finance and accounting organizations of top government contractors. His extensive industry insight will further strengthen our competitive position in delivering innovative solutions to our nation’s most sensitive and mission-critical programs.”

Pitsenberger most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Sotera Defense Solutions (Sotera), where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis, corporate treasury, facilities, and all accounting and tax functions.

He previously served as vice president and corporate controller of Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE) and Apptis. At PAE, he was responsible for the accounting and shared services organizations of the then-$1 billion government contractor with geographically dispersed operations in the Middle East and Africa. While at Apptis, Pitsenberger managed all of the accounting functions and helped secure the sale of the company to URS Corporation. Previously, he worked at Deltek, where he took the company through an initial public offering.

Pitsenberger began his career in public accounting at Beers & Cutler, PLLC (now Baker Tilly), practicing in both tax and audit. He is a CPA with a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.
