Endgame, Inc., a venture-backed provider of security intelligence and analytics solutions that give enterprises real-time visibility and actionable insight across their digital domains, announced on May 6 its acquisition of Onyxware Corp., a Florida-based mobile security company.

“The Onyxware team and their capabilities are a significant addition to Endgame as we continue to develop cutting-edge security products for our customers,” said Endgame’s CEO, Nate Fick. “With data, devices, and networks proliferating at an ever-faster pace, and with infrastructures in all enterprises becoming more complex and dynamic, the need for better tools only grows. Integrating Onyxware into our core areas of expertise is a critical step for us as we continue to accelerate our growth in the federal market and address the growing demand for dynamic defense capabilities in the commercial sector.”

Onyxware was founded in 2010. The company is based in Melbourne, FL, and provides software and services to the federal government focused on modern telecommunications device security.

As part of the acquisition, co-founder Charles Carroll has been named Endgame’s vice president of federal business development. Prior to founding Onyxware, Carroll held management positions at Raytheon SI Government Solutions and Harris Corp.

“My team and I look forward to this next phase for Onyxware,” said Carroll. “We are eager to contribute our unique skills and expertise in leading-edge mobile security as Endgame continues to develop innovative solutions for its customers.”
