Civergy, Inc. announces on April 1 that Brigadier General Mark Owen (USAF-Ret.) has been appointed CEO as of March 2014.

“But most importantly, he is committed to high quality performance, outstanding customer satisfaction, and high ethical standards — hallmarks of Civergy and New West Technologies’ success for more than 15 years.”

General Owen’s primary focus will be to lead the functional integration of the Civergy family of companies, as they attempt to build an organization that provides a range of critical services and indispensable products — from cybersecurity to energy security, business intelligence to engineering solutions, and alternative transportation to creative workflow management and complete management services.

General Owen joined New West Technologies, which was acquired by Civergy last January, as an executive vice president leading strategic expansion and Global Engineering, Integration & Technical Assistance (GEITA) implementation a year ago.

A Legion of Merit awardee, General Owen has, in the past, been responsible for developing the nation’s strategic war plan and contingency plans for global strike missions as director of plans and policy for the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Owen held roles with Northrop Grumman, Booz Allen Hamilton and National Securities Technologies, LLC.

“Mark has outstanding credentials, with a background that includes USAF planning and strategy, and developmental engineering activities with complex space and missile systems,” said Mark Gray, Chairman of Civergy, Inc. “But most importantly, he is committed to high quality performance, outstanding customer satisfaction, and high ethical standards — hallmarks of Civergy and New West Technologies’ success for more than 15 years.”

“I’m pleased to be joining the Civergy leadership team,” said General Owen. “Since critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, energy security, and business intelligence are integral parts of everyday American life and vital to our economic vitality and national security, I look forward to contributing to Civergy’s growth as a premier, high technology-enabled services and products firm, focused on supporting our nation’s energy security and cybersecurity.”
