BRTRC Federal Solutions, a mid-sized firm focused on providing integrated technical solutions to the government, announced on March 10 its acquisition of SecureForce LLC.

SecureForce is a provider of cybersecurity, risk and compliance and information assurance services to government agencies. The company’s customers include the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), NASA and Freddie Mac, among others.

“We are excited about bringing SecureForce into the BRTRC portfolio — not only does it expand our capabilities in the area of cyber, big data and analytics, it also gives us access to new markets like the VA, TSA and the intelligence community,” said Larry McDonald, chief operating officer and one of the four owners of BRTRC. “These new capabilities round out our information technology solutions, allowing us to offer more under our current IDIQs like DHS EAGLE II, as well as allowing us to bid on additional federal IT work. Looking forward, we see more targeted acquisition as part of our strategy to broaden our offerings.”

This is BRTRC’s first acquisition and the culmination of a close two-year working relationship with SecureForce. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are excited to join the BRTRC team, adding our cybersecurity solutions and domain expertise to BRTRC’s extensive capabilities in program management and technical engineering,” said Marc Perrelli, president and CEO of SecureForce. “Together we will deliver our clients a broader spectrum of offerings to secure their critical infrastructures and meet their evolving security operations and engineering needs.”

BRTRC has 75 active contracts and a significant presence within the Department of Defense. The company was recently awarded the DHS Eagle II contract vehicle for information technology program support services.
