Aslam Nawabzada joins Sevatec as CTO

Sevatec, Inc. of Fairfax, VA announced on October 10 that Aslam Nawabzada has joined the organization as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Nawabzada brings more than 20 years of experience implementing enterprise, customer-centered solutions across the technology spectrum, including big data and cybersecurity solutions using Agile/DevSecOps best practices.

“Aslam’s tremendous experience and success leading IT modernization initiatives across the national security ecosystem make him ideal to lead Sevatec’s investments in efficient, modern technology solutions that positively impact our customer’s missions,” said Sonny Kakar, Sevatec’s founder and CEO.  “Specifically, his deep technical expertise in our core solution offerings, his keen business acumen, and his passion to innovate, will enable Sevatec to continue in its position as a market leader.”

Prior to joining Sevatec, Nawabzada held a number of leadership positions at CSRA, the Washington Post, and IBM. During his CSRA tenure, he served as partner and senior technology executive, planning and managing the strategic direction and technical capabilities of the digital technology practice and leading the development of large-scale solution offerings implemented at several federal, state, and local agencies. Nawabzada holds an MBA from West Virginia University and an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). As an accomplished technical presenter, he has received requests to speak at several technology conferences, including the Oracle Federal Forum.
